OnePlus 5 to get Android 8.0 Oreo update in December, company teases

OnePlus has confirmed that OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 will get Oreo update before the end of this year. Android 8.0 will be the last major update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

OnePlus 5, the flagship smartphone from OnePlus might get Android 8.0 Oreoupdate before the end of this year. The company has started teasing the update on its official Twitter handle, confirming the eventual arrival of the software update.

OnePlus has been among the first OEMs to make the latest Android updates available to its flagship smartphones. Last year, the company trumped some of the major smartphone brands to roll out Android Nougat for the oneplus 3. The company is now teasing the arrival of the Oreo update with the caption "now get ready for" and the reference to 'Elf on the Shelf' means the update could arrive in December.
